Baldwin Whitehall Athletic Association has implemented a mandatory background screening policy for all baseball and softball managers and coaches for in-house, travel and tournament teams. 

BWAA COACHES MANDATORY BACKGROUND SCREENING

The background check must be renewed annually but covers spring, summer tournament and fall seasons.

 

Once accepting a coach or manage position all individuals must submit a background check application by the start of the applicable season.  The two required background checks are as follows: 

PENNSYLVANIA CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE  (required every 60 months)

To obtain your Department of Human Services (DHS) certificate through the Child Welfare Information Solution website:

1.  Please setup an account

2. Select (other) for type of volunteer then enter Baldwin Whitehall athletic association

There is no charge for volunteers in PA

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK  (required yearly)

1. You must click on “New Record Check (Volunteers Only)​”.

2. This clearance will require the applicant to enter the volunteer organization's name.

3. Enter “Baldwin Whitehall athletic association”

Coaches:

After entering  your information please click submit at the bottom of page  then write down the control# and date. You will need this to log back on to print your completed clearance
